Blind Date

Blind Date by Bella Jewel

The twist that could’ve been. 🤦 *SPOILER*

This will be quick. I normally don't bother reviewing these kind of books, but the missed opportunity here was just bugging me.

These books are barely a step above Harlequin romance, but I still like them because they’re simple and enjoyable, and I know they’re not meant to be taken seriously. That being said, this was next level predictable. What makes it worse is that there’s an unintentional setup for what would’ve been a much better twist.

*SPOILER*
The reveal in the book: 😒
The guy she’s dating is the killer. You can see it coming from the very beginning.

The twist that could’ve been: 🤦
Early in the book the main character goes on a blind date with a guy who seemingly can’t get over his ex. It would’ve been better if he turned out to be the killer and his ex was actually his previous victim.
